Simple Acts of Kindness

Stephan Grellet says “I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” We have one shot at life, one chance to make the relationships around us succeed, one chance to leave a mark as we travel through life. Simple acts of kindness should be an eveyday occurance in our lives.

Kindness is describes in the dictionary as
1. The quality of being warmhearted and considerate and humane and sympathetic
2. The tendency to be kind and forgiving
3. A kind act

Look around your world today, examine your relationships. Everyday we have a chance to make somebodys day better, to pass on a smile. You will be amazed at how much better you feel when you are not concentrating on yourself, but looking at others lives and seeing what you can do to make their day better.

It may be a simple friendly 'Good morning' to the cleaner in your workplace that everyone ignores, doing some shopping for an elderly neighbor, babysitting for a busy Mother so she can have an evening to herself, send flowers to a teacher that has dedicated her life to her job. The list goes on and on, but I garantee you that as you seek to show kindness to others, you will feel better about yourself.
Look for the opportunities today to show a random act of kindness not looking for anything in return.
